Purpose Is Waiting For You To Show Up

Hi loves!!
Wow, we are living in such critical times where everything that was once secure and steady is now in a chaos. As we say hello to an unwelcome guest, Covid-19, it is time that we say goodbye to all the excuses we gave for not writing the book, not starting the business, and not following our God driven purpose!! So I ask you...will you show up? Purpose is waiting for you to show up my friend.
In recent weeks, we have come to face a giant unlike any that we have ever seen before, the coronavirus. While things around us are uncertain, now is the time to fight for our lives like never before! But what exactly does that look like? Fighting for our lives means fighting to win and chase down our dreams like tomorrow isn't promised because at this moment, it truly isn't! If you are a believer than I encourage you to believe in God  like never before. If you are not a believer, message me so that we can make sure you are right with Jesus. :) No judgment but the bible says we do not know the day, nor the hour, that He will return. Don't get ready, stay ready.
Now back to chasing our dreams...
Ya'll, I cant even begin to tell you how much revelation God has been dropping into my spirit about following dreams that I had somehow lost due to the struggles of life. These past few years have not been easy as far as my career goes. I've always been an ambitious young woman and never shy of working hard. After all, I watched my mom, a single mother of two, work hard to put food on the table while growing up. I've worked since the age of 16. Yes, if you are from Philly then you know I use to work at Target like forever. Lol. But I digress. After graduating from law school, I thought everything would just fall into place because after all I am a lawyer admitted to practice. Man was I ever wrong. While I have been afforded amazing opportunities to practice law in both the private and public sector, something has just felt missing in my life. Even after I joined various professional organizations such as the executive board for the Association of Black Women Attorneys and the New York City Bar, I felt a sense of dissatisfaction with my career.
I finally realized that this entrepreneurial spirit within has been leading me to connect my passion for law with my passion for helping people achieve their dreams. Ahhhh, that's when I realized that being a lawyer was not just about practicing law for me but also inspiring young girls all around the country from backgrounds similar to mine that they could be anything they wanted to be, including a lawyer! Now as I realize my passion for helping young women succeed, I realize that I will soon be building a platform to not only practice law but mentor young women! Amongst this, I also want to inspire people in general because Lord knows I have cried myself to sleep many of nights trying to overcome my fears and show up for purpose.
Maybe like me you realize that God has more for you than where you are now. You feel this tug on your heart that God is pushing you to go deeper into destiny but fear whispers that you aren't qualified because you are too young, too old, not smart enough, didn't have the right upbringing etc. Well I am here to tell you that those are all lies that we have been believing for too long. Period. Point. Blank.
Now is the time ya'll...purpose is waiting for you to show up! In fact, this world is waiting for you to show up because you have something on the inside that is unique and that only you can deliver! As we face covid-19 and allow God to return our hearts back to him, let's take this time to reflect on what's really within our hearts and pursue our God given purpose like never before!
Be blessed loves!!
